Progress, results, fulfillment, that's what everyone of us wants to have, we want to see our long dedicated actions take effect, we want to see our efforts, the time we spent working on our goals, the sleepless nights, taking shape in form of results, that would make us feel that what we did has finally worked and validate the way we've been working so far.
but let's talk about an important principle,
You see as we're on our way on achieving our goals, we sometimes forget that we're not as ready as we think we are, we tend to get carried away by our ambition passion, and emotions, we give ourselves so much to do, and we expect from ourselves so much that it becomes hard for us to even achieve the slightest goal or make any progress, and by doing that it becomes one of the most underrated road blocks we can encounter.
this is a blockage that we caused to ourselves, and when we see and analyse what could be the real reason for us to expect high results from ourselves, two major reasons pup out,

which are simply "comparison" and "not enough room for failure".
Comparison is a real challenge for most of us who just starting out, trying to figure things out, always thinking whether this way or that way is the actual way, we're constantly trying to validate our actions, and by comparing what we do at the level we're on right now to someone else's work who's been in the field for quite sometime is not going to make us progress any further, it's mostly going to make us hate the work we do right now, and probably stop us form doing anymore of it, which is simply a disaster!
We forget that the person we're comparing our work with, is probably doing this for years, and most importantly that this person has been in the same level we're right now and by consistency they've become what they're today. it is OK to look up to someone else's work for inspiration and motivation but never for comparison, because as long as we know that as beginners it is OK for our work to look like the way it looks right know, and we should be open and lenient to learn and implement new strategies, we'll continue on producing the work we love until it reaches the level we desire
Which brings us to the second point, giving ourselves room for failure, as we said, as we're starting out, our work is going to be far from great, and we have to think of it every time we're about to take action, once that work is done we give ourselves a tap in shoulder and we move on to the next one, even if it's far from what we've been waiting for, even if no results are visible in the present, it doesn't mean that you're not progressing.
Giving ourselves room for failure means accepting the fact that it will take time for your actions to follow your imagination, also accepting the fact that you will probably not get it right the first times you try, it is only by failure that we learn, become more passionate, and eventually make progress.
